Job Title: Automation Quality Engineer (SDET)
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly technical Automation Quality Engineer with deep expertise in **Java-based test automation** to join our engineering team. Unlike traditional testing roles, this position requires a "developer-first" mindset. You will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining sophisticated automation frameworks that are integrated into our modern CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Java skills, specifically in data structures and multithreading, to handle complex data validation and parallel execution.
### **Key Responsibilities**
**Framework Development:** Design and implement scalable, maintainable automation frameworks from scratch using **Java**, **Selenium**, and **JUnit/TestNG**.
**Advanced Java Logic:** Apply expert-level Core Java concepts, including **Collections (List, Set, Map)** and **Java 8 Streams**, to manage dynamic test data and validate complex API responses.
**API Automation:** Architect automated testing solutions for REST and SOAP services using **Rest Assured** and **Postman**, focusing on POJO-based serialization and deserialization.
**CI/CD Integration:** Build and optimize continuous testing pipelines using **Jenkins**, **Maven**, and **Git** to ensure rapid feedback loops in the development lifecycle.
**Performance & Parallelization:** Implement **Multithreading** and **ThreadLocal** strategies to support parallel test execution, significantly reducing regression suite runtimes.
**Backend Validation:** Use advanced **SQL** (Joins, Subqueries) to perform end-to-end data integrity testing between the UI, APIs, and databases.
### **Required Technical Skills**
**Programming:** Mastery of **Core Java (8+)** with a strong emphasis on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, Exception Handling, and Generics.
**Data Structures:** Expert knowledge of the **Java Collections Framework**, including the ability to manipulate data using `ArrayList`, `HashMap`, and `HashSet` for complex validation scenarios.
**Automation Tools:** Extensive experience with **Selenium WebDriver**, **JUnit**, and **Maven**.
**API Testing:** Proficiency in **Postman** for manual exploration and **Rest Assured** for automated endpoint validation.
**DevOps & Tools:** Hands-on experience with **Jenkins** for pipeline orchestration and **Git/GitHub** for version control.
**Cloud Platforms:** Familiarity with executing and monitoring tests within cloud environments such as **AWS** or **Azure**.
### **Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience applying **Design Patterns** such as Singleton, Factory, and Page Object Model (POM) to automation architecture.
* Ability to use **Splunk** or similar logging tools for backend defect root-cause analysis.
* Familiarity with **BDD** (Behavior Driven Development) using **Cucumber** and Gherkin syntax.
